Mr. Mario Duran
Middle School Science and High School Spanish Teacher

Mr. Duran holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Texas at San Antonio. In addition, Mr. Duran holds a Masters in Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Masters in Education degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.  He joined the CASA family in 2004 and has taught junior high Bible and history prior to his current assignments of American History and Spanish I, II, and III.  Mr. Duran enjoys working and preparing students to be significant contributors to our challenging society.  Students are offered the opportunity to grow academically, emotionally, and socially.  In addition, through designed lessons, students are confronted with opportunities to understand the importance of teamwork and effective collaboration.
Mr. Duran is married, and he and his wife have one daughter and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their second baby girl.  Mr. Duran is very active in his church which is located just five minutes from the Christian Academy of San Antonio.
