Mrs. Charla Baker
Middle School English and Bible Teacher

Having grown up as the daughter of two educators, Mrs. Baker was determined to find another profession.  However, teaching found her.  After years of teaching the Bible, swimming, piano, and Brownies, she gave up and made it official.  She has taught in public and Christian schools, grades 6-12. 
Mrs. Baker’s family consists of Steve, husband of 33 years, daughter Amanda, and son Lee. Having been involved in missions in Africa and the Middle East for twelve years, Mrs. Baker continues to enjoy spending time with internationals.  She  holds the Bachelor of Science degree in English and Business Education from West Texas State University, as well as a Masters in Religious Education from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  She has taught at Crane ISD and Tyler Street Christian Academy in Dallas. 
Her favorite hymn quote currently is,
“Hast thou not seen how thy desires ever have been
Granted in what He ordaineth?”
God in His goodness has truly given her the desires of her heart.
