Miss Andrea Valdes
Fifth and Sixth Grade Reading Teacher

Miss Valdes, a San Antonio native, holds a BS in Academic Studies from Sam Houston State University where she specialized in Reading.  She has taught at the Christian Academy of San Antonio since the day it opened and does not plan on leaving any time soon.  It is in reading class that she gets to interact with an incredible group of 5th and 6th graders, exploring the world through books.  She believes reading makes you beautiful and irresistibly brilliant.  In the words of W. Fusselman, “Today a reader, tomorrow a leader.”

Miss Valdes is crazy about family time, thinks weekends were one of God’s greatest inventions, and absolutely adores the challenge of teaching pre-teens.  In her spare time, you might find her shopping, at the movies, or trying out a new fabulous restaurant.  She enjoys the outdoors, loves adventure, and isn’t opposed to a little primitive camping.
