Welcome to the CASA Secondary!
CASA is a family community that strives to meet the needs of the whole person for every student. We offer a strong academic program taught from a biblical worldview that encourages our students to think and act beyond themselves. We involve them in activities and events that help them to share their faith with others around them.
Our academic program is challenging and prepares the students for college level work. Our degree program exceeds the Texas Recommended High School Program requiring four years of Bible, four years of mathematics, four years of science, four years of English (including college dual credit English composition), four years of history, two years of technology (including college dual credit Introduction to Multimedia and Introduction to Web Design I), three years of foreign language (Spanish language), one semester of speech, one year of fine arts, and two years of physical education/health.
Our students are involved in extracurricular activities including music (band) and athletics. Our athletic competitions are coordinated through the Christian Athletic League of San Antonio (CALSA) for middle school and the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) for high school. The high school competes in TAPPS division 2A with other schools across San Antonio and Texas.
The entire student body participates in four week-long spiritual emphases: Passionately Pure Week, Discipleship Week, Persecuted Church Week, and Holy Week including the Easter Resurrection. These weeks offer a concentrated time of study and focus for our students in their Bible classes. These weeks, as well as our weekly chapels, are coordinated by our campus minister.
Our campus is beautiful, safe, and secure with the assistance of police officers on campus during the school day and a full-time pediatric nurse. The building is kept exceptionally clean through the work of our staff and the pride of our students. It has been called a “gem of the community.”
