Mrs. Jacquie Hernandez
Guidance Counselor

I am so excited about working with parents, teachers, and most importantly students in helping them discover their God-given potential.  The cornerstone of the counselor’s office is founded on Jeremiah 29:11.  My goals to help parents through this defining period in their student’s development include:

  • Maintaining an open line of communication,
  • Providing a clear and concise understanding of timelines and expectations for our students,
  • Helping parents of college-bound students navigate through the myriad of college, financial aid, and scholarship applications, and
  • Being there for CASA families!

I am happy to help parents with tools and strategies to be more effective.

  • Use Proverbs 22:6 as the foundation, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
  • Encourage your student daily. The mood of your child often reflects what they have encountered within the last few minutes before being dropped off at school.
  • Stay informed of your student’s daily progress by visiting the online ParentsWeb tool.
  • Share helpful tips to help your students with study/organizational/career skills.
  • Please note, while appointments are recommended, drop-ins will be accommodated when possible

Parents, you are your child’s first teacher!  You taught them how to walk, talk, brush their teeth, and tie their shoes. You have much to offer them, and their education and upbringing lies in your hands. We want to partner with you and know that, if we work as a team, together we can not only help your student succeed at CASA, but more importantly, we can help them fulfill God’s purpose for their lives!
