Welcome to the Pre-Kindergarten web page!
Welcome to CASA pre-kinder life. Our pre-kinder students are looking forward to learning new and exciting things. They will be learning about letters and numbers in God's world and how to write their name. They will also meet some exciting guests.
Math
Students are continuing to explore numbers, shapes, colors, classifying, measuring, matching, patterns, comparisons, sets, counting, and identifying. Students are also developing their number writing skills in a fun and child-inviting manner.
Language Arts
In the Language Arts area, we are enthusiastically integrating skills in oral language, word recognition, and writing. Our focus is letter recognition and basic concepts of sound-letter relationships.
Science
Our Science focus includes many exiting topics throughout the year, such as our five senses, food and nutrition, dental health, weather, animals, plants and insects.
Social Studies
Social studies in Pre-Kinder is very important as students learn about themselves and the world around them.
Bible
Our Bible program begins with the creation of the earth and the creation of man. We are following the various Bible stories, topics, and memory verses.
Fine Arts
In fine arts our students will learn how to express themselves as they learn how to paint and draw. Students are exposed to well known artist, Michael Angelo, and his Sistine Chapel paintings. Students get to paint ceiling tiles for their classroom at the beginning of the year. During the year students use various types of art medium such as watercolors, finger paint, modeling clay, and art and craft materials for art projects. Student creativity is encouraged throughout all learning.
